Why the October 22 Refresh Matters

The Pain hotfix and RIP event loop sent Dragon, Kitsune, and Lightning into overpay territory. We refreshed the calculator with the Oct 22 Cosmic Values dataset so the balance bar actually mirrors what Discord auction houses are paying today.[^cosmic] If you ran trades using pre-update values, rerun them—most top-tier fruits climbed 10–20%.

Input Fundamentals

  1. Select the correct variant. Dragon now exposes “Dragon (West)” and “Dragon (East)” in the dropdown. The calculator uses variant-specific values, so pick the exact fruit you own.
  2. Toggle regular vs permanent using the switch in each row. Permanent fruits use Robux-based valuation plus trading premiums.
  3. Add fragments and game passes by clicking “Add Item” → “Other.” Fragment packs convert to Beli automatically using the weekly average from Discord raid auctions.[^discord]
  4. Label placeholders: rename “Offer 1” / “Offer 2” to the players’ usernames if you plan to export proof later.

Reading Balance Scores

  • The balance bar highlights which side is ahead. We consider ±5% the neutral zone—anything inside that range is basically fair.
  • Values beyond +10% signal overpay territory. Negotiate add-ons such as fragments or mid-tier fruits to close large gaps.
  • Check the demand badge next to each item. A 10/10 demand fruit (Dragon, Kitsune) justifies a small premium even if the bar says 55%.

Case Studies from October 22 Tests

Lightning for Pain

Entering Lightning (40M) against Pain (100M) shows an 18% deficit for the Lightning side. Add 25M Beli or 2,500 fragments to reach parity. Anything less leaves you on the losing end.

Dragon West + Kitsune Bundle

West Dragon (1.45B) plus Kitsune perm (2.32B) yields 3.77B total. If a buyer offers East Dragon (1.16B) + Yeti perm (1.74B) + 500 fragments (~1.25M), the calculator reports -7% for the buyer—they need to add an S-tier fruit or 200M Beli to even the deal.

Fragment vs Game Pass Swap

Trading 12,500 fragments equates to 31M Beli in the calculator. If a player wants your fragments for the 2x Money pass (50M), you should request at least a 19M fruit or additional fragments to keep the trade even.

Export & Collaboration Tips

  • Click “Share” to copy a permalink. Paste it into moderator tickets or Discord DM threads so everyone sees the same numbers.
  • Use the notes field to record server timestamps, raid timer completions, or alt account details.
  • Align exports with the 15-minute RIP event timers. Fragments earned immediately before a trade carry more weight and can be documented in the notes.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  1. Wrong fruit variant – always double-check the icon before saving. West vs East Dragon is the most common error.
  2. Ignoring demand scores – the calculator shows an explicit badge; don’t dismiss it when negotiating.
  3. Using outdated screenshots – prices shift weekly. Reopen the calculator instead of relying on images from September.
  4. Forgetting stat resets – if a trade depends on a code-based reset, note the code and its expiry in the notes for transparency.

Quick Workflow Checklist

  • Reload the calculator on Tuesday mornings to ensure you have the latest Cosmic Values import.
  • Record the permalink and store it in your trading spreadsheet for audit trails.
  • Pair calculator exports with in-game screenshots when dealing with strangers.
  • Keep a Discord backup of every trade in case Roblox support requests evidence.
